Know Your Worth And Get What You Deserve

December 23rd, 2014 || Productivity

There is no bitter person than someone who is being paid less than he deserves.

Anytime I interview candidates and asked them to tell me how much they think  their worth is. They say all kinds of things that gives me the impression that they do not really know how much worth they’re. You will have to value yourself and know how much you’re worth or else any Tom,Dick and Harry will play games with you. Some of these values can be tangible and intangible. Some people have so much worth but they get little or nothing in return. Some too have low worth but the returns they get are very huge,normally they reach this stage deceitfully. Your duty is to make sure you get  full returns of your worth so you won’t be bitter and rancorous. There is no bitter person than someone who is being paid less than he deserves.
This is how you can value yourself and know your worth so you can fully get the benefits you deserve.

Experience  And  Education

Try and get some education if you don’t have one.Educate yourself  on professions that are very relevant to your interest and the society.Education only becomes important when it becomes useful to the individual and to the society in which one lives. Education should bring out the best in you, couple with your experience. I was on a buying project for some organization some years back. In the process of buying, I decided to get some quotations and analyze the prices, and then I will make my own buying judgement. I have gotten to several stores but there was this store I went, and the manager there asked me,” man I know you’ve visited a store of about four stores away from us, you know the owner of that store, I thought him all the things he knew”. I was taken aback, it kept me thinking about this man,who was wise enough to have gone ahead to open his own shop because he knew his worth. The man couldn’t afford being paid a peanut. He couldn’t afford making others rich while he remains poor. He knew his worth was of millions, and yet he worked there, got the experience he needed, and then paved his own destiny. But the man who was castigating him seemed very bitter, wanting to destroy him, telling everybody ,indirectly, concerned about how jealous he was , and yet he did not learn the lessons his subordinate had indirectly thought him.Until you know your worth, you will be used and  damped, and end up being bitter for not getting your due.Just like  Thomas Edison did to NiKola Tesla.

Operating In A Wrong Environment

You may have all the necessary knowledge with the right experience but if you  find yourself in an environment which does not support your worth, and so to speak recognizing  it, you will not fully benefit from what you’ve got. A man who was attending a church of about two kilometers away from his house, stopped the church and started attending a different church which is more than 30 kilometers away .He was asked of why he stopped going to his previous church he told them that with his new church he is able to fully use his experience,get recognition for his worth, and also get  compensated for his worth. One motivational speaker Jim Rohn, in one his talks made known that, he met a guy who was exceptionally good in his profession but he was being paid a few hundreds a month, after he convinced him to work for him,he ended up earning thousands of dollars in a month. You will have to assess your situation and then make sure you’re not in the wrong environment or else you might know your worth but you wouldn’t get anything out of it. Nikola Tesla should have left Thomas Edison long ago but he kept on staying there and never got any recognition for his inventions,and let alone getting his due.

Specialized  Knowledge

Specializing in your field gives you the status of authority. When you say one thing, you’re respected. Your worth is increased and you’re able to quantify and value it When you specialized. Being a jack of all trades makes you lose some perspective. Find something you’re are good at, stay there till you become an authority. There more you become an authority, there more your worth increases.Bill Gate became a billionaire by specializing in computer softwares.Michael Dell became a billionaire by specializing in computers,Zell Samuel- real estate,Lerner Theodore -shopping malls and many more I can’t count.These guys  became  billionaires of great repute because they specialized in one thing or the other.You too must do the same.Specialize until you become an authority.

Be Your Own Man

There is no doubt that trying to pave your own way and being your own man is full of risk. Trying to start a company or some firm brings a lot of immeasurable benefits, but such a path too may contain a meandering roads which may not augur well with you, at least with the first attempt. It is better to start a company and collapsing than not starting anything at all. Being your own man gives you the leverage to experiment all the great Ideas you have got. Being your own man makes your worth more apparent and easily valued. Being your own man gives you better terms and are able to fully cash in your worth. Many left their firms and realized that their worth were more than their CEO. Don’t be afraid to step outside the boundaries created for you by the various systems.Know your worth and move on and start on your own. Your company may not be a fortune 100 company but you can start somewhere. The most important thing here is starting. You may fail for the first time, go back and find out where you got it all wrong, correct them and start again and you will succeed. With this your worth, it is not prudent to make some shareholders somewhere rich. You deserve the best your worth can offer.

Many have grown bitter, and are regretting now because they failed to recognized their worth. Someone who quickly recognized who some people were, took advantage of them, used them and made a huge wealth out of them. As in the case of Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison’s Relationship.Thomas cashed in on Tesla giftings and worth.While Tesla died poor,Thomas Edison died rich. You should never allow this to happen to you. You should be paid your due.The best way to be paid your due is to be on your own. Know your worth and never lower your standards. Don’t stay in a company for too long, gather enough experience and start on your own. Only few had made it through working for someone.Know that about 96% of all those who had made it worked on their own. They took the risk and went ahead and made value of their worth.

    Can I just say what a comfort to find someone that genuinely understands what they are discussing
    on the internet. You actually understand how to bring a problem to
    light and make it important. More people really need to look
    at this and understand this side of the story. I was surprised you’re not more popular
